Tag Heuer Monaco Calibre 12

Originally introduced in 1969 in honour of the Monaco Grand Prix, the watch was revolutionary for being the first automatic chronograph house inside a square case. The watch was discontinued in the mid 1970s but thanks largely to the increased popularity of Steve McQueen the watch has been re-issued several times.

The watch has been linked to the famous actor ever since he wore it in the 1971 film Le Mans. Since his death Tag Heuer have continued to use stills from the movie in their marketing material for the now collection of Monaco watches.
